Product Review: El Hajj Skin Care Range

Asalam waliykum sisters,

I do not know if you remember, at the start of August I wrote a post on 'El hajj skin care range'? This is the link if you want to have a look at it again, click Here! This is going to be a review of the tried and tested products, so please read on to find out how I got on with them.

Firstly I would like to start on the pricing, if you have a look on the websites full range prices are all listed. I think that it is worth it, for this bag I paid £24. Some may think that is a lot, I did think the same at first. However, after much use of the products I changed my mind. I managed to use most of the products on a daily basis and still had some left over at the end of the 3 weeks. So I was impressed they lasted that long.

The travel plastic bag is brilliant, kept the products flat and neat so saved space in my luggage, also kept them dry and was compact so was easy to carry.

Now onto the actual products themselves. The most used items were the Body wash, Facial cleanser, Facial moisturiser and Lip balm. These 4 I used twice a day. I found that I did not need to use the body lotion as much and used that infrequently as well as the heel balm. The UV cream was great I used it a little bit but I found that just like other UV creams it makes my face a little greasy. So I used this sparingly and only when i really needed it.

I tried the Heel balm before I left and it is amazing, it works really well and makes the skin supple and soft. I wore socks most of the time so found that my skin did not dry out and crack, Alhamdulillah. But after being there I can see how your feet can suffer, from walking on the hard marble floor which is really dry, and when going to zamzam points your feet are drenched with water.

The actual application of each product is easy and absorbs into the skin quickly, apart from the UV cream. They are all completely scentless, and the body wash and face wash left skin squeaky clean but not dry. With all the products a little goes a long way.

Unfortunately, El hajj do not make deodorants, I hope they will add this to their range in the near future. But, Alhamdulillah I found that Mitchum make a perfume and alcohol free deodorant. Mitchum is a great product and the deodorants actually work and are ethical who are not affiliated with Israel/Zionists.
the product was tested in 56'C heat it kept me smelling fresh and relatively dry and lasted all day. So I defiantly recommend them, especially if you are heading off to Hajj/Umrah and hot countries.

Like to find out more about the products please check out the link I posted above, they are also on Facebook so do check them out there. They deliver world wide and comes beautifully packaged, please check out my previous post for more details.

  5. Asalam waliykum sis.

To be honest with you i am no beauty care expert. But it would not hurt to try these products they are good for dry skin. I have sensitive skin i can not use products that have artificial perfume, colours and preservatives.
I would recommend El hajj products. It is rather pricey to use all the time. Thats just my opinion.
    Hope that helps a bit.

As for dark spots, or dark pigmentation on the face the best remedy is to use lemon juice.
Inshallah i will do a post on this. So please check back for that. I use lemon juice twice a week for dark pigmentation on my skin, such as acne scars etc.

  9. @Anon- Jazaka Allah khier. Do you think so? I am not sure if I am to agree I think my writing is pretty awful lol :D
I just used a theme on Blogger, and then altered the font using blogger editing function. Nothing fancy. I wanted to keep it dead simple so my posts stand out more then the layout. I hate blogs with busy themes so distracting.

Aw Jazaka Allah khier for your kind words. It really means a lot and encourages me to write more and improve.
